Do we charge a Market Fee on Google Food Ordering ?

Foodhub has recently implemented a static fee per order for all paid orders made through the Foodhub marketplace portal (Apps & Website) starting from January 9th. Based on feedback received from both clients and consumers, some changes have been made to bring transparency to the business model. Here is a summary of the changes:
  1. The marketplace fee is now applicable to all orders, whether paid in cash or card.
  2. The fee will be clearly displayed on the order receipt for both consumers and agents as "Marketplace Fee," while clients will see it as "Service Charge."
  3. The fee collected from card orders will be sent to Foodhub.
  4. The fee collected from cash orders will remain with the takeaway/restaurant and will not be recovered.
  5. A 50p fee will be reflected in client's z-reports and stats, although the portion related to card orders is sent to Foodhub.
Both Foodhub and clients will utilize this static fee to enhance and improve the customer experience. Please note that GFO orders and other marketplaces such as BigFoodie and Eatappy are currently not included in this scope. These changes are now live and in effect.
